Reading a verification verdict: Verified, Discrepant, Unverifiable

A verification report ends in a verdict. Each outcome carries a specific meaning, and acting on it well depends on understanding what it does and does not say.

Verified

The evidence consistently supports the declared address and household. It reflects what could be confirmed at the time of the check; circumstances can change later.

Discrepant

Credible evidence conflicts with the declaration, for example signs that the person lives elsewhere or that undeclared occupants are present. The report should spell out each conflicting item and its source.

A Discrepant result is a reason to follow up with the customer, who may have a simple explanation.

Unverifiable

There was not enough reliable evidence to confirm or contradict the declaration. This is not a negative finding about the person, and it should never be treated as one.

Verify addresses with evidence, not assumptions.

Consent-first, reproducible verification for your team.
